Why is the concept of "The Lamb of God", Jesus, so hard to understand?

Yes I believe in what you have here but in addition he was born at the time when shepherds watched their flocks by night making him a lamb at birth. He also entered into Jerusalem to be crucified by the same gate that the sacrificial lambs were brought threw.
