I am a lyricist, hoping to be a rapper...?

I'm trying to decide if I should sell my lyrics or try to rap them myself. The only problem is that I simply can't make good vocals with my voice so monotone. I'm always monotone, not just on the mic. Do you know any way I can improve my vocal quality, or should I just sell my songs?
